Bearing Weight (with the lightness of being) at KNMA

KNMA presents ‘Bearing Weight (with the lightness of being)’ – a centennial retrospective celebrating Tyeb Mehta.

Curated by Roobina Karode, and presented in collaboration with the Tyeb Mehta Foundation and Saffronart Foundation, the exhibition builds on its prelude at ART MUMBAI 2025, unfolding into its most expansive presentation yet.

‘Bearing Weight (with the lightness of being)’ offers an unprecedented entry into the evolution of Tyeb Mehta’s practice and the forces that shaped it, tracing the arc of an artist alongside a changing nation.
